Mum wished that there was a big game more often.
- Why did Mum pick them up early from school that day?
Mum picked them up from school early that day because she thought
the stadium would be packed.
- Where were the children’s seats?
There seats were in the middle of the front row.
- What feelings did the children feel?
The children were excited and they felt crazy about the game.
- How do we know that the children were watching the players carefully?
They were studying each detail of the players.
- Why did people text their friends?
They were texting their friends to see where they were sitting.
- How do we know there were lots of hungry people there?
Because in the book they said “five minutes… and they were still lining up for hot chips”.
- Which words tell us the children watched the game all the time?
- (Use speech marks).
“Our eyes were glued to the game from the beginning to the end”.
- How many points are scored for a try?
5 points are scored for a try.
- How many points are scored for a conversion?
2 points are scored in the conversion.
- What was the part, the children were really waiting for?
The kids were waiting to see Shane.
